When the land´s slopes accentuates man´s design
The design takes advantage of the site’s slope: The cubic structure is elevated above street level and is thus at the same time on a level with the rear garden and terrace area. The cantilevers and recesses of various functional areas give it a particularly sculptural appearance on all sides.
Floating interlocking cubes
The upper floor, which is characterized by a felt plaster facade, seems to literally float above the extraordinarily transparent first floor. In contrast to the garden, both floors are visually interlocked by a massive-looking chimney block made of handmade Kolumba stones.
